Exhibition ‘Open’ reconstructs events which occurred during the 2020 protest in New York. It included an installation of found objects with photographs and video material from looting Louis Vouton, Dolce & Gabbana and Leica Store. A crooked photograph of a young Lakota Indian woman “Women of the White Buffalo” from a Leica store makes the observer an active participant triggering a recurring void of events: performance of an artist breaking into his own gallery, public stealing artworks and vandalizing the space. Exhibition remained open without security for seven days. It was documented through a self-made circuit of surveillance cameras within the gallery space.
